At Grassroots we have two principle rooms 'Butterflies' and 'Barn Owls' where children are based dependent on their age.

Butterflies is our under two's room - a calm, naturally bright 'home-like' space where we operate a no shoe policy for the comfort and cleanliness of little crawlers! Here we have up to 9 children cared for by competent staff (qualified in looking after babies)!

Barn Owls is our two to five years room - a large, naturally bright space which offers heaps of activities covering all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage. With free-flow access to the garden this room is perfect for children to grow and develop their skills and is staffed by fully qualified practitioners and a qualified primary teacher; to help the older ones in preparation for school. This room also has open access to the toilet area, where children learn to be independent in hand washing, toileting etc.

Both rooms open directly onto our secure garden and also interlink - allowing us to join together for certain activities or to have breakfast/lunch/tea together if we wish.
